From 2025 in connection with the biological diversity of Burkina Faso.

The overall objective of this activity was to contribute to the establishment of the monitoring and evaluation system for biological diversity in Burkina Faso. More specifically, it was about:

• take ownership of the new framework for monitoring the indicators of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework;
• identify and integrate the new Global Framework indicators into the list of national indicators;
• characterise the Global Framework indicators selected at the national level;
• Update the map of actors who have the basic data for the information of indicators related to biological diversity.

The activity involved the participation of around thirty national actors working in data producing structures and also structures in charge of processing and disseminating environmental information in Burkina Faso.

At the end of the work, the following deliverables will be expected:

• the exhaustive list of national indicators in connection with the monitoring framework of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework;
• the descriptive sheets of the indicators selected;
• the exhaustive list of providers of basic data for the information of indicators related to biological diversity.
