The Friends of Nature Foundation, NATURAMA, is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) non-profit associative organization (NGO), governed by the related legislation in force in Burkina Faso. It was created in December 1990 in Burkina Faso and officially recognized on April 22, 1991. It has enjoyed the status of Non-Governmental Organization since 24 August 1993. Its headquarters are in Ouagadougou.

NATURAMA is a group of legal persons (clubs, relay associations, partner associations, community organizations) sharing a common concern to work for the propagation and achievement of objectives for the conservation of natural resources and the promotion of sustainable human development.

It focuses its action on critical environmental problems and would like to ensure a link between the nature conservation movement and socio-economic development operators.

The vision of the NATURAMA Foundation is to be a strong and independent organization capable of positively influencing conservation and development policies and strategies in Burkina Faso and Africa.

The mission of the NATURAMA Foundation is to promote the ideals of conservation and development within Burkinabe society in order to improve the living conditions of populations.
