The diagnosis presented in the National Green Economy Strategy (SNEV) highlights enormous challenges in promoting the green economy in Burkina Faso. These include: (i) the successful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Ten-Year Plan for Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP); (ii) the establishment of the tools and instruments (planning and legal) necessary for better governance of the green economy; (iii) the ownership and implementation of the National Sustainable Development Policy (PNDD)) and the Sustainable Development Orientation Law (LODD); (iv) the strengthening of the capacities of actors at all levels levels; (v) adherence to and ownership of the new development model, which is the green economy, by all national development actors; (vi) the establishment and operationalization of sustainable financing mechanisms to support the transition to the green economy; (vii) the development of accounting, finance and green taxation.
