This mapping document, which provides information on the sources of climate finance according to their envelopes, their areas of eligibility and their selection criteria, will enable Burkina Faso to improve the mobilization of financial resources for the fight against climate change. It provides an overview of the main actors in resource mobilization in Burkina Faso, namely the State, project/program leaders and technical and financial partners (PTFs). This study also provides information on the global architecture of climate finance, financing instruments and financial mechanisms. She focused on six (06) climate finance channels in Burkina Faso, thirteen (13) at the multilateral level and ten (10) at the bilateral level. In addition, the study mentioned United Nations agencies, multilateral development banks and several other organizations at the international, regional and sub-regional levels involved in climate finance. Information relating to the financing of the private sector, non-governmental organizations and associations, and local authorities were also discussed.
