Capacity building session for members of the biological diversity unit to use the functionalities of the PTK tools and bioland

A capacity building session for the key actors of the biological diversity unit on the CHM organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the National Council for Sustainable Development (SP CNDD) was held from 03 to 07 May 2021 in Ouagadougou in the meeting room of the National Observatory for Sustainable Development (ONDD).
As a reminder, the mission of the CHM is to contribute substantially to the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity. This is done, among other things, through effective and appropriate information services in order to promote and facilitate scientific and technical cooperation, knowledge sharing and information exchange and the establishment of a fully operational network.

The CHM of Burkina Faso was therefore created in accordance with the provisions of articles 17 and 18 of the CBD. Significant achievements are remarkable in terms of capacity building. However, it should be noted that with the evolution of new technologies, capacity building for key actors is necessary in order to facilitate the work on the CHM. These include the new tool called Bioland.
It is with this in mind that this training was held to allow the updating of this new platform and the proper functioning of the CHM.

The overall objective of this session is to allow participants to become familiar with CHM management tools. Specifically, for the participants, it was a question of:
• master the techniques for creating events on the site;
• master the techniques required to formulate news and post it on the site;
• master the techniques for putting CBD documents produced by Burkina Faso online.
